Pamolsa is part of the Colombian based multinational company Carvajal Empaques which is comprised of 10 production facilities in Latin America and has over 5,000 employees. Carvajal Empaques serves areas in Central America, Mexico, South America, United States, and the Caribbean.

Their ongoing search for excellence in service through their people is complemented with state-of-the-art equipment used in the manufacturing and finishing of their products. Pamolsa’s production facilities have been recognized for their packaging and certified by ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001 and BRC.

“Some years ago we started recycling PET, but we needed a solution to remove all unwanted substances and to ensure adequate decontamination level for the recovered PET in order to use it again in food contact packaging”, explains Ricardo Vallejos, Industrial Operations Manager in Pamolsa.

“After comparing several options, we chose the deCON 20 due to its versatility and because it could be easily adapted to our existing process. Thanks to this, we can meet international standards for recycled materials in direct contact with food such as EFSA and FDA.”

Pamolsa is well known for their ongoing commitment to the preservation of the earth through the advancement of cleaner production processes and ecological use of natural resources.“ After implementing the deCON 20, we can now process 100 % recycled PET which meets our commitment to the environment” ensures Cristian Grande, Technical and Sustainability Director of Pamolsa, based in Lima, Perú.
