“We chose the deCON20 module not only because its output is suited to run inline with one extruder, but also because of the reputation of Starlinger to supply top-quality equipment delivered fully assembled and requiring only electricity, air, and material handling connections.”

The first deCON20 module was easily installed in Coveris’s Soustons, France factory. After this positive experience, they installed a second unit in their factory near Warsaw, Poland.

“The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has given us a positive opinion (RECYC 0126), which was facilitated by Starlinger’s proven track record.

In France, installation of the deCON20 module has enabled us to work with a local supplier of rPET flakes. These flakes are produced from PET bottles collected in the region and provide the added benefit of low transport impact and contribute to a circular economy. In collaboration with the regional collection organization, we have extended the collection of PET from only bottles to include Coveris products.

Our approach was presented and well-received at the LNE packaging forum that took place in Paris in July 2016.”
