In 2015, the headquarters of American Starlinger-Sahm Inc (ASSI) opened in the South Chase Business Park in Fountain Inn, South Carolina. Since then, visitors have been able to experience the machines of Starlinger viscotec, Starlinger recycling technology, Starlinger textile, and Sahm. At American Starlinger-Sahm Inc, Customers and prospects can run tests with their own materials at the in-house technology centre. Services, the supply of spare parts as well as the sale of plants for the North American Market are handled from this location.

Here in our Tech Center at ASSI, we can showcase our complete solution that allows us to cater to a wide range of customers who are looking to produce FDA approved recycled PET, PP, HDPE, and PS plus deodorization. This turnkey solution includes our recoSTAR dynamic105 in line with our viscoZERO 600. During their visit, they will also be able to see our Sales, Service, and Parts Department that is crucial in order to help our customers here domestically.” says Steve Weaver, Sales Manager at ASSI.
As of summer, 2024, viscotec‘s latest innovation will also be operated on site and available for trial runs: the revolutionary viscoZERO. The new technology has been developed to produce recycled food-safe resins from polyolefins and polystyrene or food-safe, IV-increased recycled PET. This benefits our environment and creates new business opportunities for recyclers and plastics converters. “The viscoZERO technology is designed to produce recyclate for direct food contact, plus it gives maximum flexibility regarding input materials and of course grants high efficiency for cost-effectiveness.” explains Steve Weaver.
