“What‘s the best part of making products using recycled plastic?” asks pinnPACK, a well-known packaging manufacturer from California. Their answer is simple, yet powerful: “Doing our part to help protect our Planet. This is our Motivation.” Already the fact that recycled PET is the material of choice for many of pinnPACK‘s product lines speaks for itself. The end products are thermoformed food packaging solutions, to be used in the deli, bakery, produce, and food service industries.

The demand for sustainable food packaging is high. Thus, pinnPACK invested in new technology to increase its capacities for sheet extrusion by the end of 2023. “The main factor for the purchase of the viscoSHEET line was based on the closed loop algorithm that controls it. This system synchronizes all key process variables to deliver consistent, high quality sheet, at the expected rate, without the need of a highly developed technician to run the line“, explains Hans Hartmann, Sr. Director of Manufacturing Technology & Improvement.

“I’m excited for pinnPACK’s future. We continue to grow and plan on expanding our business with future locations in the U.S. Acquisitions like the viscoSHEET allow us to continue to enhance our ability to satisfy our customer’s number one demand – providing quality parts that are consistent day in and day out.”, says Maroofian about the company’s plans for the future.
